Im putting together a hifi system. Planning on coupling a "Denon POA T10 Power Amplifier" and Tannoy Fusion 3 floorstanding speakers.

Dont know too much about about this kind of stuff...What do you think?

Specs....
(Amp)
POA1.jpg

(Speakers)

PERFORMANCE
Recommended amplifier power 10 -100 Watts RMS
Continuous power handling 70 Watts RMS
Peak output power 140 Watts
Low frequency response 32Hz
Sensitivity 89dB
Nominal impedance 8ohms
Frequency response 35Hz - 20kHz
DRIVE UNITS
High frequency 25mm(1") Nitro-Urethane layer damped woven polyester dome, shielded neodymium magnet assembly
Low frequency 165mm (6.5") coated multi-fibre paper pulp cone

Will this sound good?

A fast response would be great because the auction is ending in about 4 hours!
Thanks.

The specs will tell you nothing however the amp is a decent one and I have installed it in more than one friends system. All down to price. It will drive most speakers reasonably well.

Thanks for the reply. I just called richersounds and a guy there said you cant use this amp as a standalone amp and that it wouldnt do anything without a pre-amp...Is this right? The amp has got no volume control or anything so im guessing hes right. Just want to double check with you lot first though.

Yes that is right, it is a power amp that has been designed to connect to the pre out from a pre amp / AV receivers, both of which do the volume (switching etc).

So what amp would you reccomend for Tannoy Fusion 3's? Preferably under £160?
