    Hi Paul

Is the LG plasma displaying NTSC progressive scan ok? I have this player hooked upto a hitachi 42pd3000 plasma screen and PAL progressive works ok. I think denon might be right and you screen is not compatible unfortunately.

You screen may not work properly with progressive PAL (UK DVDs etc), but it may work ok with Progressive NTSC (american DVDs etc). Try it in interlace mode.

You could force the DVD player to output NTSC only. You do this by going into the DVD menu and setting it there. Only problem is that PAL material doesnt play too good (a bit jerky). Other than that just turn off the progressive output on the DVD menu and have it interlaced for both NTSC and PAL

Denon dv 2900 can play both Pal and Ntsc progressive scan, the only way you can output NTSC progressive scan is by play NTSC software, if you play a PAL video it will out put PAL progressive scan. So when playing region 1 discs use progressive scan and when playing PAL software use Interlaced.
