Denon Dvd2900 Upgrade ?

I am about to go HD with a new plasma but the 2900 has no HDMI can i upgrade or use a switcher if so will i lose any quality:thumbsup:

I own a denon 2910 and 2900. I would personally say, stick with the 2900 until true hd arrives blue ray etc. I am convinced that dvi/hmdi are overated. The 2900 via component is excellent.

Totally Agreed. I have both the 2900 and 2910 and I don't see any real improvement that DVI/HDMI brings. Even within the 2910, I don't see any real improvement of quality between component and DVI. In fact, DVI has a green push effect on the pictures.

IMHO I would say for sure that the 2900 has superior picture quality over the 2910.

I'd go with this too. The 2900 was actually replaced by the 3910, not the 2910, but the pic quality between the 2900 and 3910 is very close, and many actually prefer the 2900 over this, never mind the 2910.

The 2900 is also reputed to cope with the layer change better, although I've never had any issues with my 3910.
