It's been slandered, spat at, shot, stabbed, burned and somebody probably made an attempt on it's mother's life (would that be the DVD2800?) but with no firmware updates the PAL interlaced and NTSC Region Free/Progressive images gave my Tosh 900E such a run for it's money (infact it was better with NTSC images) that I bought one myself.

Can be yours now for an ultra-tempting £349 from PCR Direct.

I saw it for £349.99 in this month's What HI-Fi ad for PCR direct....

I contacted PCR who said that's only the Black R2 model though - and that gold/multiregion costs a fair bit extra...

Not great either. Hi-Fi confidential have it advertised at £375 irrespective of colour - although I'm not sure whether it's multi-region or not.

Superfi had one Gold Multi-region machine left in the country for £399.95 (they had two but I bought the other one). Sevenoaks have none left anywhere - unless you feel like an 800 mile stroll.
