Does anybody know when the Denon DVD1920 will be hitting the shops in the UK?
AV Land are showing it. Might be worth checking with them to see if they have stock.
It should be launched this month...
I have just called Peter Tyson http://www.petertyson.co.uk/ and they say it will be in stock in two weeks (and they are on sale for only £199)
Now in stock at Discount Electrical for £229. I ordered one, and a Panny AE700 from them 3 weeks ago. The price on the 1920 was £180 - but they have just gone back on the deal and said I'll have to pay full price which I'm sightly annoyed about.
So I cancelled and ordered from Peter Tyson for £199.99, due in stock tomorrow.
Peter Tyson called me today to say it will arrive tomorrow as well, I am looking forward to see how good it is. Lets hope it doesn't have the 45 minute power off "Feature" that I have seen in the other threads!
I have to say the service from Peter Tyson so far has been excellent they have kept me informed from the start
Yes I have found them to be very good as well, they always answered the phone quickly and telephoned me to let me know of despatch, impressed so far.
Is the 1920 multiregion from Peter Tyson?
I am very tempted to buy one - my Pioneer 575A is on its last legs - refuses to play quite a few disks now.
Has anyone bought one yet? What are your impressions?
No they are waiting for the disk, as are other retailers I spoke to. Should only be a few weeks, they are sending one out to me. In fact, I forgot to ask about it, they mentioned it to me, which was another reason why I was impressed with their service.
Will probably end up buying one then - my pay is burning a hole in my pocket
Regarding Peter Tyson. uk.shopping.com give them a 5-out-of-5 store rating, based on 72 user reviews.
Pricerunner have a couple of online retailers listed selling the silver multiregion version at just under £230. No indication that they have stock currently though.
Don't pay extra for a multi region version, it's very easy to do yourself (as long as you have a CD rewriter and a blank disc)
Go here and download the firmware: http://home.wanadoo.nl/waldini/Denon DVD 1920 MR Firmware.zip
The instructions are included in the zip file. Did mine this evening and it works a treat.
Just picked one up from Audio T and it's excellent!
Hi all, just got one of these players for a great price ,£189. Richer Sounds did a price beat. Its multiregion ,2year warranty and works a treat on my Z3, best picture and sound i have had.
Who did Richer Sounds price match it with and is theguarentee from the Original shop or Richer Sounds
they will price beat peter tyson by £10, and they are denon authorised agents.
Does anybody know where can I find the code to turn my Denon dvd 1920 free region?
It isn't a code, it is a CD based firmware upgrade. Do a search and you'll find a place where you can download it.
Hi Rooo, thank you for your note, yes you are right, but I didn't find yet, I'll keep my search and if you find it please let me know
There have been quite a few threads about the 1920 over the last couple of months, but I have deffo seen a link to a website where you can download it, so keep searching!
It's here at DVD Player Handset Hacks
