i am looking to purchase a Denon DVD-5900 Universal player.
i have heard that there are some problems with slow loading of menus, and firmware issues.
I noticed on Denon's web site that they address the firmware issue, but I saw nothing regarding the slow loading of menus.

    thanks,

    Lou

The DVD-5900 is the US version of the DVD-A11 sold here in Blighty.

I can confirm that the latest firmware addresses the menu speed and brings it on par with the 2900/3800 etc.

Fantastic DVD player and I have been delighted with it since purchase in November.

Thanks for the reply, I thought the upgrade would fix the slow menu problem. It is good to hear from those who have experienced it.

    Regards,

    Lou
