Question Denon DVD-2500BT won't open - worth the time?

Hi. I have a Denon DVD-2500BT Blu Ray player, bought new over ten years ago. It is not used much now due to streaming, however we do put in the occasional disc. Over time it seems to have got more sluggish about opening up and now it has finally stopped opening. It turns on - if I press eject it says 'open' on the screen but nothing happens. Doesn't open, no noises of any kind other than a light whir of the fan.

I have tried unplugging it for five minutes and re-plugging.

It's a decent player but getting on - do you think it is worth the effort to fix, or would spending a couple of hundred quid on a replacement be a better move?

Cheers

It could be nothing more than a belt needing replacement. Certainly worth having it taken to a repairer and asking for an estimate. One of Denons finer players.
