I've pretty much decided to get a Denon DM35 DAB mini system - now wondering what speakers to get to complement it. I've narrowed it down to the following: Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo One Mission Volare V60 B&W 601 S3 Obviously the B&W are the most expensive but are they worth the extra over the other two? Any other speaker suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks for any help. JB
Wharfedale Diamond 9.1's are very good value for money and work well with the Denon. Best trying to get a listen and let your ears be the judge, than going on someones recommendation.
Would second the Monitors- they are the only ones that I would say are really sensitive enough for the slightly weedy 18 watt high distortion amp in the Denon. The 600's would probably sound OK but you wouldn't exactly get a stellar level out of them.
Is anyone using the KEF eggs with one of these Denon mini-hifis? How's it without the sub? Is there a way to use the sub with these Denons? The reason I'm asking is that my trusty old original eggs might end up in my children's rooms (two each) and it would be great if they could be used with a decent minisystem like a Denon.
Um may not be of much help but when I listened to the Denon 35 vs the Onkyo 505 I thought the Onkyo was better. What Hi-Fi thinks the same (but this may no recommendation). It's also cheaper
