Denon DHT500SD connections

Standard Member
I have just ordered the Denon DHT500SD and the Hitachi 32LD7200.I also have a Telewest digital box and I would like some advise on how to connect
them together to get the best picture and audio from my system.

Im a new user so please accept my apologies for this question.

Im getting real confused with composites, RGBs, Video-out, etc.......

You can connect the Denon to the TV via Component (the 3 phono's - R, G, and B) for a great progressive scan picture. The Denon will do a fantastic job with the audio from DVD's, and you can connect to audio out's from the TV to the amp as well.

Thanks for replying, just to confirm the Component Video Leads are for picture only, what type of cable should I use to connect the TV to the Denon for audio ?
