    Hi folks,

I'm on the verge of buying the Denon DHT500SD system and wondered if anyone can confirm that it will play DVD-R's or +R's?

    Thanks!

Yes, I just burnt 2GB of mp3s to a DVD+R, plays very well. You can navigate directories too with the on-screen display.

Unfortunately my DHT500 is region 2 only, I assumed they were all multi-region but this one from Unbeatable isn't :(

Thanks for the reply - I have another quick question - does the DHT500 have the 2mb buffer memory that other Denon DVD players have to make layer changes imperceptible?

Don't know about that, i've only played a few DVDs but didn't notice the layer change.
