Im hoping to get the same system. Thats the best price I have see too I'm afraid - still not bad especially if it is multi-region too :smashin:

Have you heard anything about this retailer? are they reputable?

I got mine from superfi. Very prompt delivery but it was also cheaper when I bought it. I ordered it on a Sunday afternoon and it came the very next morning.

P Tysons aftersales service is excellent. Highly recommend them, not just for the sale/delivery/price but also for sorting out all my problems (unit collected, inspected, replaced, multi regioned and returned all at thier expense)

This was definitely a big selling point for me, if the item develops a fault during the guarantee they collect and return at their expense - most on-line retailers would insist you meet that cost.

Hi, just bought the 550 from Digital Direct for a few pennies under £530 (inc delivery), arrived in 3 days.
I haven't had a chance to get it out of the box yet but I've heard its fantastic.
A quick warning; The Denon website says to beware of unauthorised E-Tailers selling the 550 as they won't honour the warranty. Apparently these unauthorised sellers fiddle with the serial numbers on the unit.

Does anyone know who are the authorised e-tailers? and whats wrong with the 550's bought from these on-line places.

If the serial numbers are rubbed off then Denon cannot trace the units back to who they originally sold them to, thus finding out who is re-selling to these e-tailers. I tried using the Denon website to find out who is authorised after reading about these warranty issues but had no joy.
Interestingly, i've recently tried to buy the sixth speaker which comes as an extra, from Digital Direct, who sold me the 550 in the first place. They wouldn't oblige as denon would no longer supply them, and DD said it was because Denon want the prices back up to keep their exclusivity!

The above answer from Digital Direct is rubbish.

Having done homework before, which more of you buyers of the net should do, found out they are not authorized dealers for quite a few makes they sell
