Here we go again

Denon has delayed the launch of its debut Blu-ray player. The model, DVD-3800BDCI, was touted as being the world's first BD-ROM Profile 1.1 compliant BD deck, but speaking at the CEDIA EXPO in Denver this week, the brand confirmed that the US launch of the player “has been pushed back until December.” It will be priced at just under $2000. HCC was told that the innovative deck is unlikely to make an appearance in Europe “until at least March 2008.”

A Bit more info

In addition to the player, the brand also took the wraps off a dedicated Blu-ray transport, DVD-2500BTC , designed to be used with its upcoming high-end separates. DVD-2500BTCI requires a connected audio/video receiver to do video and audio decoding. It will sell for $1,199
