Have recently been lucky enough to get hold of a Denon AVR3802, and have had it now for about three weeks.

I am extremely impressed with the stereo reproduction, but cannot seem to esablish whether it supports DTS96/24 and 6.1 discrete.

Any further info from hardened 3802 users would be appreciated.

Also wondered whether i can change the name of the CDR/TAPE input, as have a Sony minidisc player connected, and would rather it displayed MD if at all possible.

    Cheers guys. :D

By the way, have seen two on ebay for £350. Think it's a bit of a bargain!

    Hi

It has DTS ES Discrete decoding but not DTS 96/24. I'm afraid you can't rename any inputs either.

Still an excellent receiver though! :)

I'm sure the manual said it had 96/24 DTS... ah well, perhaps not :(

The 3803 has DTS 96/24 decoding. The format is quite processor intensive as far as I'm aware and the 3802's processors aren't potent enough.
