Denon AVR3802 speaker bindings

    Could someone advise me how I remove the black plastic caps inside the speaker binding before inserting banana plugs, or is there some litle trick that I am amissing

    Thin sharp object (like a pocket knife) Get it in (from the "side"), wiggle and it will either pop out or you will be able to get it out with your nails

    Get a 3 inch chisel and a Big Old Lump HAMMER and bash the buggers clean out............That'll do it!!?!??!

    Must say I'm very dissapointed with the 3802 speaker bindings, they are cheap, not very robust, too closly spaced, not gold plated etc, etc.

    and they don't even supply a chisel set in the box..........;)

    Thanks chaps.......managed to pry them out....although I had to go down to the hardware store and purchase a chisel and sledgehammer as they were the two items lacking from my toolbox.....very happy with the 3802....connected up two pokey old yamaha hi-fi speakers whilst I await delivery of new a\v speaker package and even they sounded better !
