Hi about another vs thread but having just sold my old onkyo tx-sr806, I'm looking for a replacement, ideally 2xhdmi outputs required, running Panasonic blu-ray player, htpc and older sky +hd box. Speaker I'm using at the moment are MK K5 but sometime in the future would like to get my jamo system 2 speakers out running but the moment don't have the room.
I'm looking to spend around £600, all the receivers seem to have plus and minus points. What would you advise.
Sorry for the long read.
Regards,
Martin
One feature the Denon has that the other two don't is an independent 3rd HDMI out. So you could watch a bluray in your lounge and cable in another room at the same time for example. The 3313 is the cheapest amp by some way of those that offer the feature. Maybe of use to you, may not, but I think it's great.
The Denon was priced higher than the other two to start with and at 600 now is very cheap. There is no direct comparison but the Denon seemed originally more priced against the likes of the Onkyo 818 and Yamaha 1020. I'm reluctant to buy Onkyo again after one gave up on me with a bad HDMI board. I like the Yamahas myself and was considering an 820 for my bedroom but the Yamaha prices don't seem to be dropping as dramatically as they did last year. One dealer told me they got it wrong last year and flooded the market with too much stock, hence why some models were so heavily discounted at the end. Not likely to be so this time apparently.
As a 3313 owner I don't have any complaints for what it is and what I paid for it, but I personally would like to drop it and want a 4520 or a Yamaha 3020. I think you would be doing well at 600 though if you choose the Denon.
