    Hi all,

I know that there are some members how have bought this new Denon AVR1705 and I am thinking about buying it myself.

But before I do I would like to know of any thoughts about it from anyone who already has one.

    Many thanks in advance.

I have it and i think it is great
Not tried it with rears yet, but i have the aegis evo 3s and the centre and it puts out more power than they can handle
am running cds & dvds through a cheap dvd player via optical, using fairly cheap oxygen free cables and it all works a treat.
am glad i didn't spend the extra on the slightly more expensive kit ie 1905/sony/pioneer.
not sure why people do! :p
    definitely a  from me!

I think its great - running a full 5 speaker celestion set up (with floor standers at the front) and a Velodyne sub, its easily powerful enough for my room (approx 6m x 5m) with lots in reserve. Even though im using my PS2 as a DVD player, the placement of effects and the steering of them around the room is fantastic.

Setup is easy too, and only takes about 15 minutes from scratch and it works well with no additional tweaks necessary. The remote and instruction manual are 'comprehensive' to say the least, but dont be daunted !
