    Dan from the Movie Rooms is also active on the Advertisers offers forum.
    So maybe contact him on there or send him a pm for a heads up.

    7200wa being the flagship has better internals according to the dealers on here, and should sound better. 6300 has more networking and more channels.

    If you are happy to use additional power amps for more channels then 7200wa seems to be for you, especially if you can get one at £1500 new and less used.

    Just bear in mind that it is near the end of its cycle and Denon is supposed to be releasing its replacement this year so prices may drop more (which isn't an issue if you are keeping it for a while).

    I'm fascinated by the comments that you can get a new X7200WA for £1500 new, I'd be very interested to see some links to these prices! The cheapest that I can find for a NEW one, as opposed to refurbished or graded, by putting "Denon AVR X7200WA price" into google, is still £1,999 at many places - Peter Tyson, Hi-Fi Corner etc. So I'd be keen to see links justifying these "£1,500" claims.
    This discussion is too late for me, because a month ago I bought my gleaming new silver X72000WA for £1,9000 (after negotiation with the dealer to get a £100 discount) from an actual bricks-and-mortar shop, not merely an online retailer. As you can see from my signature I'm not short of AV receivers so in fact I've not yet had the time to wire in the new receiver into my parlour, so for the time being it's still in my hall.
    There were about seven reasons why I bought this one rather than the new, and at least £800 cheaper (at Peter Tyson) X6300H, but I'll spare my fingers typing if nobody's interested! :)
    Here's a picture of my X7200WA in my hall.

    Thanks buddy, i was thinking about getting the 6300h, but it only processes 11.2, and bought a Roksan kandy k2 power amp, which I hope to use for my front speakers . I think the 7200 processes up to 13.2. If I'm correct?

    'Fraid not, according the AVForums review Denon AVR-X7200WA 9.2 AV Receiver Review it has connections for 13.2, but the most that it can actually process is 11.2.

    Right, thanks for that. The 6300h also only processes 11.2. Does that mean, if I used my roksan k2 for front duty, it would have 2 channels spare, as it could only process up to 11.2?

    I presume that the Roksan K2 is an amplifier of some sort? What device might then have 2 channels spare, Denon X7200WA or Denon X6300H??

    Hi there
    I'd be interested in your reasons for buying this over the newer 6300H if you've got a moment.
    Thanks...

    @HariSeldon and @ash23t
    Before Publicnme2273 archives this thread, as he's now buying midknight's Denon X6200W, I'd still like to see links showing a brand new X7200WA for £1,500 ....

    Hi again. I guess this conversation is now redundant, as I have in fact purchased the 6200. Thanks for your comments though :)
