Denon AVR-X2300W

I am thinking of getting the Denon AVR-X2300W as it seems to be just with in my budget, currently £299 at richer sounds, it will replace my old Onkyo all in 1 system that does not support 4k or any of the newer sound formats, my questions are, is there anything else I should be looking at, will my old speakers work with this they are rated at 6ohm 40w.

Lastly the Onkyo receiver had the sub build into it, so I will be needing a new one, any recommendations as I do not know what I am looking for or how much I should be looking to pay.

Maybe also look at the Yamaha RXV581 which has similar abilities and sells for about the same price.

Your speakers will be fine with just about any AV receiver. It is speakers with an impedance below 6ohms that cause issues.

Maybe look at one of BK's subs if wanting a good value for money option:
Sub Woofers - Sub Bass - Subwoofer
