DENON avr 2802 and avr 3802 amps

    Why should i buy the Denon avr 3802 amps over the DENON avr 2802 as the avr 2802 is £140 cheeper and i can't find much difference???

    Is there that much difference???:confused:

    The 3802 has 7 channels of amplification while the 2802 has 6 "only", as well the 3802 has slightly more power.

    And I guess there is a difference in terms of video in/output, but these things you can really figure from the manual / find on the net.

    For more in depth info on the differences between the models, follow the links below (as Reiner suggests). There may be more differences than you think.

    AVR-1602
    AVR-1802
    AVR-2802
    AVR-3802
    AVR-4802 (AVC-A11SR)
    AVR-5803 (AVC-A1SR)

    These are the US manuals but I believe that they are very similar except for the AVC's, where the Americans get a host of extras.

    I may be wrong, but I thought the 1802 and 2802 were two of the machines which suffered the DD drop-out problem.

    Certainly the 3802 does not.
