Im having a bit of a dilemma deciding which speakers to use with my Denon AVR-1906 AV receiver. Im currently using some speakers I got with my old receiver but the sub isnt really powerful enough and has started making a weird throbbing sound.
My question is should I buy a whole new set of speakers or could I just use my hi-fi speakers (Denon SC-M201) for the front, move my current front speakers to the back and get a new centre speaker? My hi-fi speakers produce a hell of a lot more bass than my sub is doing at the moment and I only have a small room.
I dont have a very big budget so if I did replace all the speakers Id probably go for the Kef KHT1005 which Ive managed to find for £239. If I just got a new centre then Id be looking at something around the £50 to £100 mark. Maybe the Mordaunt Short Avant 304c for £69.95.
Im quite new to all this so any advice would be appreciated.
