I emailed Denon UK about this but have never had a reply that I know of but there again my spam filter swallows a lot of things it is not supossed to. I dont see how it can anyway as there is no menu item to associate any S-Video channel to the Composite monitor output, I will try to input from S-Video (I currently have DVD & DVD recorder via component.) and see what happens to the component output signals.

On page 27 is states Setup options 21-23 can select what Inputs are used and then fed to Component out. It would be nice if this works.

Interesting, Menu item 21 is "Autosurr On/Off" on my UK variant the Video select item does not appear, that setting is also missing from the European manual, there is also a table in the UK manual showing that the Video Jack is up converted to S-Vid but not component and that S-Video is not converted to component.

So I guess the European version does not upconvert to component which is a pain, but I am still very pleased with the amp overall.

Thanks. Denon themselves have just confirmed to me that only the USA and Asia markets get S-Video to Component Up-Coversion on the 1905. Apparently Europeans are willing to pay extra for it
