i have the above mentioned AV Receiver and i would like to know how if possible i can get the rear/second set of speakers to work on there own, as in i've put them in a different room and don't want the surround speakers working at the same time.

i'm not to sure if this is possible as i can't see it mentioned in the instructions, i did put a post up on here somewhere before i got it asking if it did have this option and i had a reply saying it did.

    thanx for any replies.

    BJ.

    Hi

The 1803 doesn´t have the Power Amp Assignment feature so you can´t use the Surround Back Amp/s to power speakers in a different room. The 3801/2/3 has this feature.

I have this receiver, and I'm pretty sure that this CAN be done, although I have never done it. I may be wrong though.

Here's a link here, that may provide you with some info:

I have no idea how to set it up though sorry!!!

It will work, only in mono as there is only one surround back/multi-room amplifier.

I stand corrected. The info on the UK Denon site doesn´t mention the power amp assignment at all.

According to the american info, it shares the Surround Back amplifier between the two SB terminals (A/B) so should give a stereo output.
