    I think I am starting to get to grips with all this AV stuff. I am looking to build a system for around £2.5k. MAW and Hornydragon have come up with good options but I was having problems trying to get all my components plugged in:

    Sky+ -> RGB Scart converted to Component
    Xbox -> Component (hi def kit)
    DVD -> Component
    VCR -> Composite

    So I need an AV reciever that can take all this inputs and output component to the Panny PW6 (or 7 if it's worth it).

    Looking around most AV recievers only have two component inputs. Searching around I came accross the Denon AVR-1705 which has three component inputs AND video up conversion (which I need for the VCR). But it is suspiciously cheap compaired to the Yamahas and Pioneers. I also found the Onkyo 602 does 3 Component and Video up converstion - but no-one selling it in the UK. I am not an audiophile but I do want to get the best PQ.

    Any views or help on this would be appreciated :lease:
