Denon AVR-1507 with no center. Opinions?

Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on me running a the Denon AVR-1507 amp with 2 Mordaunt Short 904i Floor standers up front, and 902i Bookshelfs at the rear but No center?

Basically I'm extremely limited in space, and was hoping the amp would redirect the center channel nicely out of the 2 fronts.

I listen to a lot of music so I'd say 50% / 50% usage between music and film. I currently have a sony 5.1 sub/sat system. It sounds great with dolby digital and DTS movies, but music (and anything that is 2.1) sounds poo. Upstairs I have a Sherwood 2 Channel amp with a couple of Eltax floorstanders and they sound lovely :) .. Just want to be able to match this downstairs.

Thanks

Andy

Ah cool, thanks for that.....

Is there anyone that actually owns a 1507 and a 5.1 setup that has 5 mins to do a quick test for me? I'm wondering if you could test it with the center turned off and tell me how much worse it is?

I tried this in the past before I got a centre speaker and it does work. However, the sound effects far outweigh the dialogue when there is background noise. Basically, the centre channel signal is not strong enough when put into the left and right.

Is there any way you can accommodate centre speaker? Maybe wall-mount it with two wall-mounts from argo s for a cheapo jobby?
