Does anyone know the going rate for these amps now?

And how well do they stand up vs the current flagship amps? (aside from more sound modes).

Any advice would be appreciated, I currently have a yammy DSPa3090.

    Cheers

Just sold one for £650. That's the lower end of the going rate. Have seen people ask £950, £1,100 & £800+ recently. Can't imagine that they sold though (?).

As for performance, cannot recommend this amp highly enough.

Nic, you sure you didn't happen upon an A1SE and got yer brain-wires crossed ?

    Mike.

I don't need to re-read my post. Howabout I get a slide rule out and engage the services of an accountant to calculate the depreciation over the last three years. What do you want me to say ? £711.56 ? £842.91 ? £688 dead ? If it's secondhand how do you calculate accuracy ? Techtronics still have one njew up for £1445 exactly so is that the only accurate price ? Are you looking at buying a new one w/full warranty or a used one with some or none ? If you want accuracy - and it's impossible to state such, as you're now learning - then those details might be a little bit very important to state.

Secondhand usually means buyer and seller agree a price and every time one sells for a little bit lower the average price for a sale would/should drop a bit. That's the way it works.

Oops, I hear another one just sold for £700. Scratch the above figures, they should now read £704.22, £833.01 and £680 dead. Hope that helps. Oh, you'd better be quick or the prices will change again.

Let me know what you buy/sell one for and I'll amend my spreadsheets accordingly.

    Cheers,

    Mike.

Ok - ill give a very "accurate" answer

Yesterday I was offered £800 for mine as part exchange against there latest flagship monster - the store in question usually then aim to make between £150 to £200 on that for resale - so you should be looking at around £1000 tops

As for how do they sound compared to newer models is the reason that I did not part exchange - apart from the new sound modes there was not that huge a difference - certainly not one that warrented spending around another £2000 ontop of the part ex

If you see one for around £800 I would urge you to buy one - had nothing but quality from mine in the two and a bit years since getting it

    Hope that helps

    No probs, Smurfin'.

DW, £800 trade-in would be top-end, I would think, and greatly depend on the amp you were looking to trade 'up' to. I agree though, apart from this month's soundmodes, there's nothing to better the A1D. I know of two which have sold for £650 now (and mine was/is MINT). Cheapest I know of is £550 (!). Complete bargain or what ? If I wasn't skint I'd have kept mine for a l-o-o-o-n-g time.

This year is ripe for flagship 5.1 amps to start being made available secondhand so keep yer peepers open. Get one for around £600 and you'll be well chuffed.

    Mike.

I have a yamaha DSP a3090, and someone I know is selling a Denon. Just not sure if I'll hear much of a difference really.
