I'm just wondering what you guys think of this model??
I want it mostly for movies, but also for the odd music on it.
    Noobie question:-
What should i be looking for in an amp??
What's the difference between an amp and a reciever??

On paper it has an excellent spec but as with all things you should have a demo to see if the sound is to your taste. :)

Ideally you should be looking for the newer models that have HDMI switching and HDMI 1.1 to give you some sort of future proofing.

The difference between an AV Amp and an AV Receiver is that the AV Receiver has a built-in Tuner. AV Amps don't.
