Denon and SACD

I was looking at the april home cinema choice and in the review for denon dvd A11 it said SACD is not supported because denon has not yet secured agreement from the SACD licence holders.
Is this true that denons don't play SACDs?

Hi mate

I think you`ve read it wrong, What it says is that the Denon Link digital connection doesn`t support SACD :)

It still plays SACD through the normal analogue 6 chanel output.

Cheers

Not yet mate, I asked them at the Bristol show.

actualy the i-link is broken, SACD is confirmed by sony for i-link but not for d-link.

A firmware update for the A11 is due in the next 2-4 weeks to fix the i-link to work with other make amps. at present i-link wont pass any sound whatsoever.

Also D-link is going to be upgraded as well to version 3 (this will allow SACD to pass) rumour has it that it will be just a firmware update for the A11, but not sure about denon amps.
