Got the A11 connected to the TDP-MT5 via Component and DVI.

The component connection works fine (480p/i, 576p/i), but the DVI input will only display a picture on the projector when set to 480.

If I set the DVI (using the front mounted buttons on the A11), to 720p or 1080i, the DVI LED remains lit, but nothing appears on the projector screen. (I've tried setting the output type to 'NTSC' in the A11 setup as stated in the instructions, but still no joy)

    Any one got any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Anil.

The Denon A11 has an error in a line of code in the software which makes it difficult to handshake with Panasonic, Sanyo, SIM2 & Toshiba PJ's when using the DVI output. Denon are working on a patch to correct this problem.

Have Denon given any indication of when this will be released?

I'm suspecting it might become part of a larger firmware release?

I finally got this fixed by doing 2 things:

    1) Updating the firmware of my A11 to the latest from Denon (-6 firmware)

    2) Using one of Joe Fernand's (The Media Factory) excellent 9m DisplayMagic DVI cables (The previous 10m cable I used will only pass a 480p signal to the projector). Now I get 480p, 720p and 1080i via DVI.

Many thanks to Joe, who I would recommend to anyone.

    Anil.
