I have been looking for a PAL progressive DVD player that can play JPEGs as well (rules out Sony 730/930) and does not break the bank (i.e. costs less than £250)

I have seen that Denon have a new DVD player, the 770SD that is listed at £250 and appears to fit the bill. Has anyone seen one of these? It has PAL progressive scan and plays JPEGs but doesn't appear to play DVD-A or SACD like its bigger brother the 2200.

The only web sites that I can find selling it though are http://www.netelectronics.co.uk/av.htm which only sell it as a package with amp and speakers at £850 and qed who list it for £195 but don't have stock. Anyone else know where to buy it.

Superfi have it for £219, i've been looking at it as well but i'm not sure if I should go for it. I've seen no reviews but apparently the 700 series (is it based on this?) was none too impressive.
Have you seen any reviews or articles on this re its performance?

Yes its a good budget receiver, it could just do with a litlle more power to drive my big mains, but seems fine if you don't push it to much.
Can be had for under £200 now I believe.
The 770Sd would probably go nice with it, if only it was in gold to match my 1803.
