Hi, I have a Denon 4310 AVR and I am having problems with the speech sound quality when screening movies. The dialogue is either drowned out by background music (which crystal clear btw and songs are a pleasure to listen to) and other noises or it's not clear (almost muffled) and it's hard to understand. I went through the Audyssey set-up a number of times but it didn't help.

I used to have the 2807 which was perfect but I have moved house and the room where I use the 4310 is considerably larger. Speakers: B&W 600 series. Many thanks.

Hiya,

I had similar problem... I turned OFF the Audyssey and couldn't be happier. :smashin:

I have to be honest... I find the whole Audyssey thing a bit of a "gimmick" unless you have an acoustically damaging room environment.

Thank you. I will try that and see how it goes. I haven't quite got this unit sussed out but is there a way I could manually adjust the centre speaker so that the dialogue perhaps has more treble or is louder?
