    Hi,

Would appreciate a few answers on the Denon 3910:

    1) Is the Denon 3910 multi-region out of the box and can it handle RCE discs? I appreciate this may depend on Firmware version - if so are the MR firmwares available online?

    2) Can anyone recommend a good online supplier for this model that preferably offers a fast service? I have quite a few dealings with Av-Sales - but they don't seem very competitive on this model. Other than 'mass product' companies such as PRC Direct, Empire and Sound & Vision can anyone suggest a decent retailer?

    Many thanks!

    andyuk99,

Many thanks for your reply. Is the disc supplied when you buy a "multi-region" version? Or can you download it and burn it to CD-R?

When I bought my 3910 it had only just came out and the dealer(PT) sent it to me a couple of weeks later. Search these forums, there is later versions which are MR

Had quite a few problems with Peter Tyson, I would very highly recommend Creative Audio though, they were very helpful at all times!!

    Hiya,

Got mine within 2 days from avland - good price was multi region out of the box and states on their web site RCE compatible (tell me a disc that is and I can try it) - tested Return of the king R2 and a couple of R1 (5th element, monsters inc) - most of my discs are region 1 anyway.

As mentioned creative audio are also good - you need to ring to order though unless I missed an online ordering section on their web site

I'd recommend either as I've bought from them both before and had good service.

As 1ofaKind said, avland also delivered mine within 2 days from ordering and Yes! the player is multiregion and Yes! it does play RCE encoded discs.

Not sure I would count Sound and Vision in the same league as big mail order shippers. Yes they have a big mail order side but also have a smallish shop with 2 dem rooms and knowledgeable staff. Plus I got my 3910 from there for £720

Many thanks for the replies - I ordered a multi-region 3910 from AV Land after having done several demos locally (for which I repaid their time and effort by purchasing over £200 worth of cables from the shop).
