    Hi All,

While I was waiting for the B&W 685 stock to come in, the dealer asked me to listen to Quad 12 L2. I was surprised by their better and clearer mid-range compared to 685's but found the base a bit lacking. But the base can be made up by a sub so its a non issue.
What I wanted to know is if the Quad L2's will get along well with Denon 3808. The 3808 is rated at 130w per channel while Quad 12 L2 specs state the Recommended Maximum Amplifier power per channel as 200w (30 to 200w). Will the 3808 get the best out of the Quads ?

Need advice from you experts out there.

    Thanks.

The Quads will work perfectly well with your Denon.
However, I would suggest that in terms of sonic ability the Quads are streets ahead of the amplification in your Denon. It will be the Quads that are getting the best out of your Denon and not the other way around.;)

Thanks Betty. Good to know that Quads are also a option.

Don't know what sort of price you've been offered on the 12L2s but I've just seen them advertised for £299 here

Here in Singapore the dealer has quoted me SGD 1050 which comes to around 360 GBP.... So the quads are quite a bit cheaper there :( but I have no choice as this is the best price I have been offered.
