I have just bought this unit and have a Pronto too.

The Pronto is more adaptable and powerful and can do so much more.

The Denon remote can be programmed in the same way as all the other universal remotes so you can program it to control all the basic functions of all your other pieces of kit.
However, in my opinion, it looks a thousand times better and more sexier than the Pronto, better colour (thinking of the monochrome Pronto) and physically easier to use. this remote makes a style statement just by sitting on the coffee table and when you pick it up and i activates straight away, WOW!

I've not actually used the Pronto since getting this.

Well I'm sorry but I think that the 3805's remote is crap...sure it looks good but is not at all tactile, lights up at the slightest movement and is too big. It also seems cheap in comparison to the amp itself and I prefered the old 3803 remote.

I've not used mine since the day I got it.

I should say that I'm not a fan of touch remotes, having tried both the new and old pronto's, and much prefer hard buttons which can be used without having to look it the remote all the time...that's why I went for the Home Theater MX-700 which is great. Maybe not as powerfull as the Pronto but it does everything I want it to.

Anyway...let us know what you think when it arrives.

    Cheers, Lee
