I do actually like this remote although there are plenty of people who don't but last week the borders on both the top and bottom parts of the remote disappeared along with the on/off at the top of the screen. All of the other buttons remain lit except for the these and last night it wouldn't operate my freeview box using DBS as source but maybe it has just forgotten these commands so i'll try again tonight.

Anybody else experienced this or anything else?

That happens to mine when the batteries are running low which is fairly often as this remote eats batteries like you wouldnt believe!

Try some brand new batteries see if the borders,on/off come back,if not then obviously its another fault but I'll put my money on batteries.

I'll try a new set, just thought i'd get more than 2 1/2 weeks out of the batteries supplied.

This happened to me as well with the 3805 remote. I complained to Denon and they asked me to return it. But, before I could do anything about it, the remote came back.

I did put in new batteries, but am not sure if that is what helped...

A new set of batteries brought it back to life, hopefully these last a bit longer.

I have the same problem with my remote. Time for yet another set of batteries.

What's the verdict on the 3805?

I am about to upgrade my home system from a Sony STR-DB940 and 32" Wega TV to Denon 3805, 30" Sharp LC30HV4E LCD and Infocus SP5700 with 7' electric screen.

Any comments on the improvement I should hear/see?

Do a search on 3805. There is plenty of user feedback about what owners think. Personally speaking I am really pleased with it.

    Cheers

I'm also pleased with mine after upgrading from a 1803.

Perhaps a set of rechargeable AAA's might be needed if the remote continues to use batteries at this rate.
