When I press amp on my Denon 3805 remote control and then click source, I do not get a list of available sources in the lower part of the top screen. . The word source and surround appear to have an asterisk next to them.

    Previously this worked.

Is it something I have pressed or is it a fault?

Does anyone else find the remote too dim for viewing in very bright light conditions?

    TIA for any help

I've had various buttons come and go over the last few weeks. I can't work it out. Today I can say with complete confidence that all the buttons are there, who knows what tomorrow might bring.

Thanks for the response. I am considering sending the remote control back as I have tried virtually everything to get those buttons back. Very frustrating, I suspect it's some kind of mode setting, but I haven't been able to get any useful feedback from Denon either.

I'll let you know if I do manage to learn anything!

Here is my (new) rather verbose reply from Denon:

My 3805's remote works well, but all of it doesn't light up anymore. I spoke to Denon, who have accepted that the remote is faulty and will replace it.

Sending it back on Monday! Hope the replacement comes soon!

    HI

My remote frooze as did the whole 3805 amp Only used it for one day
    As an aside:
The butons on the remote are also far too close together One of worst remotes that I have seen in a long time!

The shop i bought it from tested my setup and promptly refunded my money

A great pity as the sound and video conversion etc were great!
