I am looking at buying the Denon 3805 reciever.

I have lots of input sources however and would ideally like a couple more audio inputs. The only way of getting 13 or so inputs means spending serious money on something like the Denon A1.

My question therefore is what happens if I connect a digital source to one of the optical inputs and a separate analogue source to say the CD in. Is there a simple way of switching between Dig and Analogue to effectively give me the extra inputs I need ?

Thanks for any help on this.

The Denon will play whatever source it detects on that Input automatically. You can also manually override this if you want by pressing the Input Mode on the front panel (Auto, Analog, Ext In).
