It is time to replace my good old Yamaha 3090, and the Denon 3803 looks like a good bet.

The only thing is, my lounge is reasonably large (20'x19') and the Yamaha just starts running out of steam (powering Mission 733, 73c, REL Q200, (can't remmeber surround model nos.)) when I really push it (I like my films LOUD).

The RMS specs look pretty similar (Yam. 100 vs. Denon 105), but I know this can be misleading. Does anyone have any idea if the Denon will push out much more power than the Yamaha?

    Cheers,

    Richard

I think the 3803 is now rated as 110w.
seems quite loud in my room, 24ft by 16ft,

will know better in a few days (only just got it).
