Can anyone confirm if the Denon 3803 can be bi-amped. i.e. I want to use the 7 channels to be a 5 channel amp with the front pair bi-amped. I lnow the Pioneer 2011 can do this but can anyone confirm the 3803 can?

If anyone has tried this can they share their impressions of it.

Its to feed a pair of kef Q7's from a 3803/2900

    Cheers

    Dave

I think the 3803 does not have this feature. The spare two channels can only be used to drive two separate channels which are the same source(7 channel) or a B channel in another room. The amp will drive all at the same time.

    I could be wrong!

Anyone in the UK know for sure (just in case there are any regional differences)?

    Cheers

It doesn't have the facility to do it as standard but there is a "way" around it. Not tried it personally though and wouldn't. Have a search through old posts here on the 3801/2 as someone had managed it with one of those.

You could always buy a power amp with the same gain and add it on
