    Hi,
Can one of the many 3802 owners let me know if the speaker terminals take banana plugs?

    Thanks.

    Hi Andy!! (edited!!)

Yep! They do, just pop out the little rubber bungs with a small screwdriver and you can use the banana plugs.

    cheers

Thanks for the very prompt response.

I wish I was Alan.....of course, even with his money, I still wouldn't be completely happy with my home cinema set-up!

can someone please enlighten me to the benefits of 'banana plugs' I've picked up some info about these but nothing concrete.

I have a 3802 also, do the plugs give a better connection or is it purely for an easier connection.

    Regards

    Better--doubt it, easier--definately.

Spade connections are regarded better than banana plugs, better contact.

Thats just silly, theres no way spades will fit in the binding posts of my amp, neither will a shovel.................:D

Joking aside, bananas are far more convenient than having to faff about with stuffing bare wire into the binding posts. Not used spades to be honest so cant comment.

My amp must be bigger than yours, coz i got spade connections on mine :p and the remote has a on/off function for rear speakers. :D

Did have banana plugs up untill a month or so ago, wasn't that happy with them, so decided to go for the spades, no difference in sound, just happier with the better connection.

    cheers bob
