denon 3802 vs 3803

    what are the differences between these?

    worth lookinga t the 3803 rather than the previous?

    try doing a search for '3803' as its been discussed quite a bit.

    Main issue is slightly more power I think.

    Nope, both have the same power, 110watts per channel.

    What sort of speakers do you have? I ask as I recently heard a 3802 really struggle to run some M&K speakers. These are 4 ohm speakers, so if yours are similar, then perhaps a more powerful (in terms of current) amp is required. If not, the 3803 seems to offer some useful gains in spec over the 3802.

    hmmm... i was thinking of the kef eggs (with the improved sub!)

    having looked at it now, the price differennce is significant!

    about 500 for 3802 but 750 for the 3803... i think i am better off with the 3802....

    Well I can vouvh for the eggs (with a different sub) and the 3802. Been running mine for nearly 18 months now and am still pleased and everyone thats hears them is very impressed too.
