I got a Denon 3802 yesterday.Very impressed with it overall - not with the manual though.

Got a few questions about the remote- is there any way to actually switch it off?It continues to display AMP on the lcd screen all the time, even after not using it for a long time.Surely that is an unnecessary drain on the batteries.

Is there any quick way to teach it the codes of my other equipment? Most of the codes given do not coer what I have got,so I was wondering if there was any shortcut to that.

Anyway here tried to teach it the functions of another remote? How easy is it?
And how many units can it actually handle?

Have alook at pg.19 of the manual. The "learning function" section shows how to teach the remote new devices.

I've got a Denon 3802 Reciever. Good to hear your happy with it.

Anyway the remote will probably last a least a year.
I've had my 3802 for one and half years and I have changed them once.
Even then I think the batteries I used originally were not brand new.

I just wish my car only needed refuelling as often! :D
