denon 3802 offset +4 db

    got a denon 3802 amp to replace my pioneer amp which used to display +4db when watching a film in dolby digital, the denon instruction book says this dialogue normalization is achieved automatically when playing dolby digital program sources, but ive never seen the display state 'offset +4db' etc.

    is this normal, i dont listen at reference level normally -30db from reference.
