Guys, as my Denon can split component signals, i was wondering what this would like like in terms of image quality. I was hoping to connect my DVD and XBOX into the amp and run one lead into a plasma - would this be acceptable?

It doesn't split but switch: it's either Input A or Input B to Output.
Of course you can use this with your DVD and XBOX if they both support component (YUV) out.
