Just purchased a Y splitter, connected that to the sub bass out on the amp, then run two leads to the sub bass left and right inputs. When re-setting the subs channel level i had to lower the volume to what i had set it to previous which was 75db. Bass seems more controlled aswell. Will i be putting extra stress on either piece of equipment. Your help will be appreciated.

I am afraid I am not able to help with your query but you may be able to help with mine. The Y splitter you are talking about does that enable you to plug in two subs to your amp? If so can you tell me where to get one from please?

This has probally answered my own question aswell, but off the top of my head i would say yes, as you are only splitting a mono signal. I purchased the splitter from Laservision http://www.laservision.co.uk/ hope this helped.

I got my Y splitter fom Maplins. It cost £1.49

I run a sub from one, and split the other again to run some bass shakers from a stereo amp.

    It works very well :)

I don't think you are putting extra stress on any equipment, you are still on a "line level" so amplification remains unaffected.
