Denon 2930ci SACD Laser Malfunction

I bought a used Denon 2930Ci recently. It plays regular cds, DTS cds and DVDA cds just fine but it skips all over when I put an SACD in. Is the laser dead or is there a design flaw in the player? I can replace the laser for about $75 but am wondering if I will still have the same problem after the repair? Other than this issue, I really like the player......

Try another SACD disc. As I mentioned in your other thread SACD's are notorious for not working properly. My Denon will read some discs, refuse to play others, play some discs once and then refuse to read the SACD layer ever again. It works perfectly for every other DVD, CD or DVD-Audio I put in it.
