Am looking for a universal player with good SACD playback and a DVI output. Some forum members have had colour problems with the 2910. This machine is 8-9 months old now - anyone know if Denon plan to replace this model soon and if it is true that the 1910 is discontinued?
In a few recent threads several members seem to be disappointed with HDMI/DVI, some prefering component. How does the 2910 fare in this regard? All the magazine reviewers claim a noticeable improvement with HDMI/DVI even with lower priced decks such as the 1910. The distance to my projector is 33ft. Is this too long for DVI?
    Any help appreciated.

Hi Nev, the general concensus is that on any given player the hdmi is better than component. But a component only player will be as good as and in most cases better than an equivalent priced hdmi unit.

However as ever, try various media and trust your own eyes.
