I have a denon 2910 dvd player, i have noticed a serious problem with the dvi/hdmi outputs. Anything played with these outputs results in a severe green tinted picture with noise and blocking compared to analogue out.

I have tried the player on my hitachi 42pd5200 and my 42phd8 panasonic and both have green tint issue, so player is at fault!

Can anyone advise me on this?

Try making sure you have the ouput set to YUV on the HDMI output, some displays have trouble accepting RGB over digital connections.

I have a 3910 & have had to quite drastically reduce green via HDMI on my pj compared to component & scart. Many others have found this via HDMI/DVI. However, there shouldn't be any blocking on a decent quality DVD. You might have a poor cable. Have you tried different ones?

Originally, I was going to get a Supra HDMI, but no one had one, & then one retailer said there had been problems with them. So, it could be your cable.

I bought a 12m bettercables from Joe Fernand on the forums. If you can't find anyone to lend you a different cable, then if you were going to buy another, Joe would send you one & would let you return it if it didn't fix the problem, also would not take payment until satisfied.

Did you use same cable on both your display tests?

Also, is this the first time you've tried hooking the 2910 via HDMI?

Before anything tho, try reducing the green drastically, or altering the hue.
