Hi Guys, This is probably a really silly question but, if I connect my 2900 to my AV amp via the 5.1 analogue cables, and i want to listen to a normal cd, do I just press the 5.1 button on my amp, to then get stereo from the 2900's audio DACs ? Or will I still need to connect some phonos to the stereo out to get this ?

Or have I just got more cables than I need here ?

    thanks in advance

    Mart...

The 2900 has two identical pairs of front L/R outputs, which as far as I can tell are simply connected together. So, yes, you can just use the 5.1 button.

I personally have the stereo pair connected to the amp as well, but only because it makes switching between stereo sources with the remote easier.

You have to use the stereo outputs for cd. They bypass the bass management needed for multichannel music.
