I was watching a dvd film last night called "the descent". I noticed in the opening scenes some shimmering and instabilty in the image when the camera was moving over pebbles, rocks and the trees-jaggies?. Is the de-interlacer not working correctly? I also noticed a bit of what seemed like camera shake in a scene in The Matrix re-loaded when Neo is in a train station. Its a shame as the overall image from the 2900 is excellent.

I have the player in mode 1, mode 2 made it look slighly worse.

    Any ideas?

Could just be the movie, I would be surprised if any problems with the de-interlacer would be restricted to one or two movies. Try the disc in your PC and see if the problem is visible there (or if you have another DVD player in the house). I would check for you, but my 2900 is off for repair at the moment :(
