denon 2900 poor picture

    hi need help please
    ive just bought a samsung 32in lcd tv
    denon 2900 connected via componnent leads picture v poor
    have tried s video just the same
    even tried a different player but just the same
    tv picture is great
    any ideas

    I can only suggest asking in the LCD forum because you have proven the DVD player is not at fault. One suggestion is to feed the LCD a non progressive picture. If you are, change it to progressive and see how it looks.

    thanks i tried that and it didnt seem to make any difference,
    i think i might have to buy a dvd player that upscales

    I assume you have set the Denon to output component, I find the component leads need to be pushed in quite hard on my 2900. The picture from the 2900 is normally excellent, the manual ain't.

    hi stuje
    i didnt know u had to set to output component?
    but anyway it does the same if its connected with svideo
    the fault appears to be with the tv .
    its getting returned on weds
